The SimpleLink ultra-low power CC26xx family of devices, along with the Texas Instruments LAUNCHXL-CC2650 CC2650 Wireless MCU LaunchPad Kit, provides simple Bluetooth® Smart connectivity to the LaunchPad ecosystem. For the CC2650 multi-standard wireless MCU and the other members of the CC26xx family, this LaunchPad kit also adds multi-protocol support. This includes the Bluetooth® Smart CC2640 and ZigBee®/6LoWPAN CC2630. Code Composer StudioTM and IAR Embedded Workbench IEDs are supported for programming and debugging with the CC2650 LaunchPad kit. Use the TI BLE-StackTM Software Development Kit (SDK), which includes a royalty-free BT4.1 certified software stack, to create your Internet of Things application on the CC2650 LaunchPad.
